DESCRIPTION:Presenters\nDarya Aleinikava\, PhD – Associate Professor\, Physics\nAndrew Wig\, PhD – Professor\, Physics\, Engineering \nAbstract\nWe are going to dive in into the fascinating and exciting new world of alternative grading\, and explain the advantages and disadvantages of this new method compared to well-established old-fashioned grading based on points and grading scales. We will present the results of implementing one version of such grading\, Standards Based grading\, across all sections of introductory algebra-based physics sequence.
