A BenU alum is named Illinois Teacher of the Year! Congratulations goes out to Rachael Batchu Mahmood, EdD (BA ’04, Elementary Education) of Indian Prairie Community Unit School District 204 who was named the 2024 Illinois Teacher of the Year. Dr. Mahmood is a fifth-grade teacher at Georgetown Elementary School and received a Rising Star Award from BenU in 2022.
